And it would actually idle out and completely shut off. Pretty annoying and embarrasing. I took it to the shop and they ran a diagnostic telling me it was the O2 sensors. Well, after having them replaced, it still idled rough. So I took it back and had them do a full tune up (spark plugs are a pain in the *** on a taurus), replace the fuel filter, and replace some hoses in the car. They also did a full engine flush. They weren't able to get the engine light turned off, but the car did stop idleing rough. Cost me $1200 for everything. How many miles are on your car? Good luck.
Take the car to Ford Dealership AND NOT TO A shop,
When CHECK ENGINE LIGHT is on it means a there is a fault, just because they say its the oxygen sensor, dont place the part cause because of code
Buy a scanner they are cheap.
