That can be a tough one.
Check it over and see if you can find a rubber grommet somewhere in the firewall that you can run it through. Worse comes to worse, you could always drill a hole and get a grommet from the parts store. Be careful if you go that route and not drill into anything.
I had to run a wire through my firewall not long ago, only place I could find was where the steering column goes through the rubber boot at the firewall.
