You have Hydraulic lifters in that engine, STP is the very worst thing you can put in It will only gum up the lifters, what I would do before you start taking it apart is, you need to clean the Lifters. Take it for drive to warm it up then add a QUART of ATF, Yes ATF and over full, and take it for a leisurely drive, No high RPM's and no high loading, give it 30 min, bring it back and drain the oil. ATF is the best detergent, and flush I have seen. Taking it apart and changing lifters or adjusting them with STP "crap" in them is a waste of time, do the flush. Take it for an hour's drive then if you still have the noise, pull the covers and feel which ones are loose and be sure you have good can lift, then adjust.
