I worked mostly on Diesel Class eights and "CAT" taught me how to do it. Many a gas manifold bolt have broken off and Ford clutch mount brackets. Some you could just put on a blob of weld and then sticking the electrode on there, for a minute, then let it cool and tacking on a piece then letting it cool and it would come out. The bad thing about welding is once you do drilling is very difficult after.
