Two things come to mind. One; the coil pack has a ignition control module that is underneath, and when it goes out, you have no fire, and the vehicle won't start. Two; the crankshaft positon sensor is bad, and not sending information to fire the coil for that cylinder. Actually there is three things, not two. The igniton control module, the crankshaft position sensor, or the computer. If the spark is taking place at the wrong time (timing chain gone out) it will pop out the exhaust, or backfire out the throttle body. You can have the igniton control module tested at
