Clutch Issues
Common problem on clutches is that the throw out bearing seal lets air into the clutch hydraulic system. Short term fix is to bleed the system (which is a PITA). Long term fix is to replace the throw out bearing (which essentially means a new clutch). Putting a remote bleed line really helps make bleeding the clutch easier.
Bleeding the clutch is just like bleeding the brakes, but the bleed nipple is at about the 10 o'clock position on the clutch (looking aft to forward) and is really hard to reach. I've read some guys can reach up in there in front of the heat shield, but I've never been able to do it. I've had to drop the exhaust center section, the heat shield and then still fumble with trying to get a wrench on the nipple.
Another really easy but not long term fix is the "turkey baster" method. Just suck old dirtly fluid out of the clutch slave cylinder and pour in fresh fluid. Repeat often until the fluid stays clean for more than a week or so.
