Default Engine Gone? Misfire - Oil gone and metal in it

P1349 Ignition system or misfire
P0304 Cylinder $4 misfire
P0420 Catalyst eff. below threhold Bank 1
dull metalic rattle
then no oil and put in new and felt gritty

Sound like the engine is gone???

What's the best choice on replacing the engine?
Do I get a rebuilt one?
