Default To replace fuel pump

I got some problems with my 2007 Chevy Duramax 6.6L LMM truck. I think it is possible to fix the minor issues of our vehicle without the help of a mechanic. There is a small leak on the fuel pump. I bought one new piece from BC diesel. Is it possible to replace the fuel pump ourselves? I know most of the truck drivers would be expert in diesel truck repair. If I get advice from them it would be really helpful for me
