Default Air Filter Facts

Automotive Filters: How to Change Air Filter and How Often.

Replacing the filters in your vehicle is crucial to its continued smooth operation. Both fuel mileage and engine performance can suffer from a dirty air filter. A clogged fuel filter can prevent your engine from getting enough fuel during peak demand. Sometimes your vehicle has filters where you least expect them.

Why You Should Replace Your Filters At The Recommended Intervals!

Vehicles use different filters to clean fuel, air for the engine, and even the air you breathe. These filters must be changed at regular interval to maintain proper operation of your vehicle's systems.
A clogged air or fuel filter can cause poor engine performance. Dirty cabin filters can crate musty odors inside your vehicle. Don't wait until filters become blocked to inspect and replace them.

The Cabin Air filter, if equipped, is recommended every 12 mo./ 15,000 miles. Fuel filter(s), if serviceable, are every 5 yr / 30,000 miles. Some diesels recommend more often so check with owner's manual, or call dealer. Air filters should be changed no later than 5 yr / 30,000 mi., but I would inspect that one and the PCV valve every oil change. Gotta have something to do while you let the oil drain, right? Check some tires too.

Good Luck
The way mercedesmisery describes it, they would give it gas and the engine would not rev, it's a slow rise in rpm's when they floor it.

Could very well be a problem with the turbo.

Might have a Mercedes service tech have a look at it.

Thats exactly how it is especially in 1st and 2nd gear I have to go quickly through gears to get any response but its seems the longer the car is running the worse it gets. I think this going to cost me a fortune :O(

I hope not.
