Default Having Some Air Issues

My 02 Se-R decided to start bogging like crazy yesterday while accelareting. After parking it I found that when I plug the MAF sensor in it wont start. After unplugging it will start but the ecu is going to a default air/fuel curve unplugged so the bogging continues. I cleaned the MAF sensor with compressed air to loosen any dirt and the car will start now, but will bog when throttle is opened.

This really sounds like a faulty MAF. Are you getting a CEL? How old is the MAF?

I am recieving a code now because I unplugged the MAF until the new one gets here. But when the problem occured I was down the street heading home, so it didnt throw a cel at that time.

That should be the issue that is making the car bog like that. The engine thinks it is getting the wrong amount of air, so it is adjusting timing and the air/fuel ratios to try and correct it. Keep us posted on whether or not the new MAF fixes the problem.

So im having a similar problem with my srt-4. the only time i experience the bogging down, is when i open the throttle at low rpms. the boost spikes to about 16 psi and kind of flutters for a few seconds until lit seems to clear up a bit. anything will help
