I hope someone can help, i have a 2001 toyota echo. since a few days ago, when i reach around 130-140km, i start to smell a burning odor when i open my window. i checked all my fluids, everything seems ok....nothing is slipping or anything. I do know that my muffler needs to be fixed, would that have anything to do wih it

I have a 2000 echo automatic. It has been sitting for a year, when I tried to start it, the cable from the shifter to the tranny had come loose. Put a bolt on it, and now when I rev it, it barely revs over like 1500 rpm. When you put it in gear, it will move, but when you gas it, it stalls. It will not rev any higher than about 2000 rpm total??????
