Default All about oil filters....

A lot of people ask me about oil filters, and if there is a difference between expensive and cheap ones. It is true in many industries that one company will make a single product and sell it under many different names. This may be true for cheap filters, but I would never put one of those on my car. I cam across this article the other day and have been trying to share it with people who change their own oil and hopefully save them some trouble. Read it here.
Based on tests I have seen first hand and 20 years experience, I use Puralator Pure One, Mobile 1, and Wix premiums on my stuff. No ones paying me to advertise these. They are just the best I have found that are easy to find. I wouldn't put a fram or a supertech on a lawnmower.

I wouldn't use a fram, supertech or a penzoil filter.

I try real hard not to use Fram, the Walmart one I will buy and cut apart, Purolator was not good along time ago but I use it on my loader Hydrolics now. Pennzoil I do not like. If at all possible I use AC Delco, Baldwin, and Fleetguard, with Wix as a backup.
